A Walk with Martin Luther King
from Selma to Montgomery
The Dorchester Dems held a moving program honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Local resident Roy Davis shared his powerful story of walking across the Edmund Pettus Bridge at age 14 alongside Dr. King during the historic march from Selma to Montgomery in 1965.

We were also proud to feature Pastor Yvonne Wallace-Penn and inspiring musical performances by singers Maris Wicker and Marie Anderson.
This event was free and open to the public.

A Highway Tribute to Dr. King's Legacy
Blackwater Rising honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 20, 2025, with a Wave at the intersection of Rt. 50 and Maryland Avenue in Cambridge.

Support the Cold Weather Shelter in Cambridge
Indivisible Cambridge held the Help Over Hate: MLK Weekend of Service. To honor the life and legacy of Dr. King. Indivisible Cambridge is partnered with 411 Kitchen to prepare and deliver food to the cold weather shelter.
