Terry D. Wheatley has devoted more than five decades to serving the people of Dorchester County through the legal profession and public service. She has served as the Register of Wills for Dorchester County since 2020, following more than 20 years of service within the Register of Wills Office.
Wheatley throughout the entirety of her career has remained committed to serving the public with honesty, integrity, compassion, and confidentiality. She takes pride in helping families navigate the probate process with professionalism and care while ensuring the efficient administration of the office.Terry is married to her husband, Rick, and is the proud mother of five sons and grandmother of five grandchildren.

Christine LaMonica
Sheriff
Christine La Monica is an experienced law enforcement officer, a current Dorchester County Board of Education member, a dedicated Democratic candidate for Dorchester County Sheriff, and a proud mother of seven children. Throughout her career Christine has been committed to building sincere relationships with the public and serving her community with integrity, transparency, and respect.
While managing a family of her own, Christine had pursued higher education, earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus and her Master in Social Work at Salisbury University. As a Deputy First Class with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, Christine brings more than a decade of experience in criminal justice and social work to her campaign.
Once Sheriff, Christine is committed to strengthening public safety through transparent leadership, community partnerships, and proactive policing. Her priorities include improving responses to mental health crises, reducing juvenile crime through prevention and accountability, and building lasting trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Christine is someone who always listens first, acts ethically, and someone who believes in ensuring every resident feels safe, respected, and connected to their Sheriff's Office.

David Beverley
County Council District 1
David Beverly is a lifelong advocate for constitutional government and responsible public service and a Democratic candidate for the Dorchester County Council representing District 1.
Beverly is committed to ensuring that county government remains accountable, transparent, and responsive to the people it serves. Beverly, if elected, intends to address affordable and accessible housing, homelessness, and the impact of increased taxes and fees on local families as key priorities.
David Beverly is a professional firefight and EMT, prior to that he worked as a corrections officer. As he comes from a large family of military and public service, he understands the importance of leadership, responsibility, and community involvement.

County Council District 2
Yvonne D. Penn is a Democratic candidate for the Dorchester County Council representing District 2.She is seeking to serve the residents of District 2 by bringing their voices to county government and advocating for the needs of her community. As a candidate for County Council, Yvonne is committed to public service and to representing the interests of the citizens of Dorchester County through responsive and accountable local leadership.

Ricky Travers is a Democratic candidate running to represent District 3 in the County Council. Travers has served on the County Council for over 20 years, beyond that he has served on many boards and committees. Countless members of District 3 recognize Travers for his ability to help his community through his civic practices and leadership. Travers has carried on the legacy of this district through his preservation of Simmons Center Market. In 2012 Ricky Travers received the William Donald Schaefer Helping People Award.

Samuel “Budd” Thompson Jr.

Sheri Hubbard
School Board Council District 4
Sherri Hubbard has been a District 4 Council representative on the Dorchester County School Board since 2022. In 2024 Sheri Hubbard was elected to be president of the Dorchester County School Board. Her lifelong passion has been advocating for a safe and quality education within Dorchester County. Hubbard has over 42 years of experience teaching and acting as school administrator. Hubbard has obtained a masters in education from Salisbury University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Washington College.

Harris is dedicated to upholding the responsibilities of the court with professionalism, accountability, and with a strong respect for the law, but beyond that he is committed to treat every individual who comes to the court with dignity, fairness, and compassion.
